Westferry Kaden to take command of the lot in the Stadium Bookmakers Gentlemans Standard on 27th February

The Stadium Bookmakers Gentlemans Standard is to be held on Monday, 27th February at Nottingham over 500 metres flat. The ?200 prize money will be contested for by six hounds breaking for the wire.

Westferry Kaden, Droopys Maldini?s four-year-old black son out of bitch Westferry Bantis, is a noteworthy and capable entry for the race. He has raced during the season eight times and had struck victory twice out of those starts. His fourth attempt of the season culminated into victory.

Westferry Kaden won the third heat of the Caffreys Standard Trophy on 23rd January at Nottingham. Trained by A Stone, he was through the 500 metres in 30.33 seconds while a 3 ? lengths lead under his belt.

The 4/5 favourite of the race, Bansha Mo, was on the other end of the wire in 30.59 seconds.

After missing out on his next three starts, Westferry Kaden took away the Grade A1 500 metres flat race on 24th February at Nottingham. The 6/4 favourite of the race clocked the track distance in 30.33 seconds after breaking from the third gate and led by ? of a length.

On 18th February, he was sent as an evening?s favourite in a Grade A1 500 metres race at Nottingham that he missed by finishing fourth behind the winner. The race was won by Madeley, who was through the distance in 30.40 seconds.

Today?s race will put forward the opportunity for Westferry Kaden to strike the third victory of the 2012 season.

Another capable entry for the race will represent trainer Chris Allsopp. Fifis Romeo, Collision?s three-year-old black son out of bitch Fabulous Lourdes. He has repeated a trend of going down from the first position to third and then fourth in the six starts that he has made during her 2012 season.

Fifis Romeo won a 264 metres track at Monmore on 9th January by covering the track distance in 15.51 seconds. He went past Solid Impact by a mere neck?s difference. Taking a break from winning, he came second and third in the next two starts and then recorded a victory in the second heat of the William Hill 480 metres Trophy on 6th February at Nottingham.
